Have had this happen only once before, but yesterday drove about 300 miles. When I was on a really bumpy road like my driveway coming home last night, the oil pressure would drop to zero for about 3 seconds, the idiot light comes on and it beeps at me, then the pressure would go back to normal. It also would do it "occasionally" when in stop and go traffic. It was in the 70's in Denver yesterday, the warmest that truck has seen since last summer. I was pulling my 16' flatbed with a manure spreader on it on the way home. Not a recognizable load whatsoever. Do you guys think it's the sensor that the gauge plugs into or something more serious??? Altogether it happened maybe 5 times yesterday. Thought I'd get REAL advise before going in for stealer work. I know I can't directly duplicate it, so I know they wont either. By the way, the engine doesn't sound any different, if that helps. Thanks in advance. I'd like to get it fixed before pulling season gets started.
