Just wondering if any of you have temperature probes installed in the transmission and the differential before, and then after you installed those nice looking deep finned transmission pan, and the differential cover?
The transmission pan, I can see that it would get some air blowing over it.
The differential cover, not so much, but air disturbance behind the diff case is bound to be there.
I am just wondering, IF the cost of installing those are worth the benefit? I am excluding looks, that to me does not matter.
Did the oil temperature go down enough to make a meaningful difference?
Currently, my transmission runs about 150 degrees running level no load Measured inline on the output side.
The 3rd member? No clue.
I am getting prepared to start towing my travel trailer and doing as much PM as is actually needed.
