I'm looking for someone around the okc area who can help me with a transmission build, i don't have the slightest clue about transmissions but i'm well aware of the fact that my 48re isn't gonna last me very long being as how i'm not real easy on it and it's got 130k miles on it. i'm trying to build a transmission that can handle 500-600 hp at the rear wheels. I don't mind doing the leg work trying to find good deals on good parts but i need to know what exactly to get and i need to do it all as cheap as possible for what i'm needing. Any and all advice is appreciated.

At 500 - 600 rear wheel horsepower - - its gonna' be pay me now - or - pay me later!

Well said-If you can't afford to play you will pay in the end. Save the bucks up for the transmission you will need, then put the $'s into your mods to get 600hp. If you do it the other way around you will powder the transmission in short time.
