... other than keeping a 30' gooseneck clean is TOUGH!!!

Ever seen the inside of a commercial livestock trailer? The stockyards has a truckwash which is basically a firehose. That only takes the big stuff. After spending 45mins there, I go home and spend 2. 5 hrs with a pressure washer... and that's just the inside. Another 1. 5hrs on the outside with a pail of acid and a brush and it looks pretty good.

I pressure wash 3 times a year whether I need to or not. :-laf

This summer I got on the scales at a spot check with a load of steers from New Holland, guy gave my slip and I was slighty over weight. Took out a bat and beat on the trailer and got those cows *******(and ***** ) all over the place. Guy told me to get the He// outa here. What a way to beat a fine !

JL,

What Exiss models have wood doors? I have an '05 Event SS300E Limited G/N and the doors don't have any wood in them. Did they use wood in the doors on the older models?

My girlfriend has an '02 exiss 8' shortwall LQ (not sure exactly which model). Horse got it's leadrope caught under one of the manger doors and ripped it clean off. Pressed wood with aluminum skin. We looked at the rear door as well as the escape door and it was the same thing. Supposedly they quit doing this in either '03 or '04.

In my opinion there's a lot better trailer out there for my money

I think they are all over priced. After looking at many brands and models we are quite happy with the over all quality. Some things were better on other brands and some better on the Exiss. Some brands I wouldn't put my horse in...

It sure is nice to have choices. ;)

The Equine world is a BIG dog and pony show, nowdays.

I've been shoeing for a living longer than I want to admit. But I will tell anyone that if I had a dollar for every NEW equine invention, I'd be a RICH MF'er.

You can't re-invent the wheel folks!!

The only thing I have ever pulled is a FetherLite. A 34ft stock trailer pulls better than my 26ft 5th wheel.

They (Featherlite) sure do pull nice. Almost don't know it's behind truck. Empty or loaded. Pull a 26' stock trailer on occasion.
