After reading the recent additive study and being some what dismayed that "my" blend (MMO and Stanadyne performance mixed together) most likely was not the best that I could be putting in the tank, I ordered some of the Optilube Winter Diesel Fuel improver.

I looked on their site but could not find anywhere how much wax, gell and cloud points were lowered. Does anyone know this info?

Is anyone using the their winter blend? How is it working out? Any weather related problems? Any improvement in mileage?

I run a FASS with no fuel heaters in Michigan and never plug in. I have not had any problems down to -20F with that set up, but do not want to tempt fate, LOL.

Thanks in advance,

J-

Read the additive study again. Who paid for it?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Been using MMO mixed into PowerService for YEARS. You keep using your blend. You sound like a future member of BITOG.com;)

Schafers has always been popular in this area. Looks like it is on the top end of quality also. Their syn oils have always gotten good marks on the study comparisons I have seen over the years.
