I bit the bullet and went and did it! The order went in on Sat. 2011 Laramie Crew, 4x4, 68rfe, 4. 10 dually, bucket seats with every box checked (even the rear TV system). Colors have changed some for 2011 the two tone color looks the same but is now called "white gold metallic". In two tone you can get Black Cherry, Black, White, Deep Water Blue or Rugged Brown. I wanted the Mineral Grey in two tone but it's not available anymore. I went back and forth over White and DW Blue two tones and finally decided on the Blue. The wife was politicing hard for it so I just gave in. :-laf Never had a blue anything before (except the boat) so it will be a little different. Went with the Tan interior. Again, it'll be a little different cuz I've always had a grey interior.

Salesman said it would take about 6 weeks to come in and in a week or so he'd call me with the VIN so I could track the build online.

I'm excited about the new truck, but at the same time, disappointed to let my faithful '06 go. I kept seeing it sitting in the driveway yesterday and couldn't help feeling sad... :{ Guess I get too attached to things, but we've been through a lot... Anyone else feel a little sad to trade there old CTD?...

BurlesonR, congrats on your new truck! I think the DW Blue is nice and I must say a very smart move on your behalf to go with the wife's color choice.

Congratulations!!! I had the Patriot Blue on my 2005 and though darker than the DW Blue you're getting, I had no regrets. You'll love it. But you'll want to keep it clean! ;)

Good Luck With Your New Baby ....

Please let us know how you like it. I had a 2006 and I'm sorry I sold it. I'm getting the itch again for a new truck. It sounds like yours will look beautiful.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it. I think the DW Blue in two tone is pretty sharp looking. I know it won't hide the dirt like my silver does now, but hope it won't be that bad... .

monkeyman, we couldn't come to a hard number this early in the process. It all depends on the incentives that are offered at the time of delivery. I did get them to agree to $56k with no "cash back" incentives. That's about $2600 off MSRP and before tax and tags.

Thanks Joe, I'll defiantly give a full report on her once she comes in.

I ordered a set of ride-rites with wireless in cab control and a B&W Turn-Over Ball today. I was going to order the Transfer-Flo 74gal wedge, but decided I had spent enough money for one day... Maybe I'll order it next week... .

Look at sig, I sold my 04. 5 to my brother knowing that it is in good hands and it will be well cared for. :) It was hard to let it go, it is a very reliable CTD. He got it with a lot of miles left to go, and with only 69K miles on the ODM. I would still own it if it wasn't for my brother needing a good 3/4 ton truck, after wearing out his 03 2500 4X4 Hemi. BTW it was still running good, but with 130K miles, he gave it to his kid that needed a truck.

Don't think I'd like seeing my "old truck" driving around town. #@$%!

Let alone seeing it all the time with my brother driving it... . :-{}

Your a better man than I am. :D

I sold my truck to a guy in my office ...

how do you think I feel seeing in the parking lot everyday. Walking by it, driving by it. I'm even thinking about using the spare key and going for a ride (Ha!:{).

At least he tows a trailer and has made good use out of it.

Joe

Joe, that does suck!

You need to go get you a new one brotha!:-laf

Amen to that, I am getting the itch again and will definitely order something before the end of the year. It's funny how you start seeing them everywhere when you start to realize you want one again.

Joe

thats cool we ordered the same truck. almost, i went with the sunroof instead of dvd, no kids, and i got the stick instead of auto. mine is due in the 20th. cant wait

Congrats on you new truck! Sounds nice.

Question though. Are you saying you couldn't configure the order for both the sunroof and rear TV or you just didn't want to spend the money for both and opted for the sunroof? With no kids, I can defiantly understand not going with the TV.

I remember when I ordered my '06 you couldn't option the truck with both, but now you can... Funny thing, now you can't have the rear TV and rear window defrost... I had to stick with the power slide... I have rear defrost now and it works great when a bed full of snow blows around and sticks to the rear window going down the road.

I've read too many good things about that auto to not give it a try this time. Plus, for me, going manual means almost immediately having to change the clutch/flywheel out for a South Bend (got 12k out of my stock DM/clutch last time). South Bend Con OFE, great clutch, but hard to back a heavy trailer with. Four Low is the answer, but it's hard on front drive components. It will be nice to not have to go that route... .

Again, congrats! When did you order it? Can't wait to get mine either!

i first tried to order a 10 a couple months back because i wanted the DW blue with a stick and the dealer couldn't find one in dealer stock. so then i was told to late to order a 10. as soon as the window opened to order a 11 they did. was told the dvd and sunroof weren't avaible togeather, no worries a lockpick and watching up front. why i would watch a movie in the truck anyway. (i have watched one in my challenger while the wife was shopping, made both of us happy) i do tow, but nothing really heavy, flatbed trailer with a car or truck on it. didn't really need a 3500, but since i was spending the money, never wanted ti look back and second guess myself.
