I was in Fairbanks in early June. I didnt go up the Dahlton, but I talked to an old guy that had just tried it. He said he went about 12 miles, and turned around. He was pulling a 20 foot TT with a brand new F150

It's also known as The Haul Road. Goes from north of Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay, Ak.

Pretty mean stretch of road. I did 400+ miles of it with a heavy camper and I'm wondering who else has driven it; how the truck performed.

97 2500, 4x4, air bags, automatic, 305/70 firestone M/T (one less now), 4" turbo back, K&N

I did it in my 2wd Dakota a few years ago. I was overloaded with camping gear, and she did fine. Lost two of the stock goodyears though. Luckily I had spares. After doing the road in the Dakota, I'm fully confident my Ram would do even better. It's not all that bad, the only thing you really have to be sure of is your tires. If you have good thick rubber, it's just a 400 mile dirt road with some potholes and some breathtaking scenery! :)
