It's better to give than to receive.....

Wifeys Honda popped a DTC P0135, Primary heated oxygen sensor heater circuit.

Checked with an ohm meter and sure enough the heater is open, should be 10-40 ohms.

Honda wants $400+ for the part

Local auto store has a Beck/Arnley "universal" for $100+ that you splice in, or a "OEM" for $300+

Anyone used the "universal" from Beck/Arnley??

Been there, done that. Get the universal one and splice away. I did this on my borther's 97 ram that has 2 oxygen sensors. The front one everyone has, but the back one couldn't be found except at the dealer and naturally was nearly $300. We got a generic heated oxygen sensor and spliced it in and away he went. That was over 50k ago and it's still running. Oh yeah, on his the generic one cost about $35.

Good Luck,

Mike
