There is two flaws in your thinking Piers.

One, your dyno is using the metric system, and two, JR agrees with you.

The schedule is up, www.dhraonline.com, but not finished.

And no, mines not built right neither, but at least I have learned enough to tell right from wrong!LOL

You can put in massive amounts of fuel & not get the hp you want for lack of air to burn it all. Prime example, my old 94 truck in valet mode put out 325 cc's and 520hp, flip the valet switch off... 700+ cc's, but only 700hp.

If you build it right [none of us do... . cept sleddy, he's a legend in what's left of his own mind ] you should be able to produce 1. 7hp for every 1cc of fuel, course it's a lot cheaper to add more fuel than build it right, so that's what ends up happening.

I haven't dyno'd mine in valet recently but I do know at 745 Uncorrected hp the pump was at 715 cc's using 181 DV's.

So what does a stock 96 215 pump put out as far as CC'S? My old truck did 440hp with a fuel plate and a AFC spring kit othere than that the pump was stock. And it had over 130k on it. If you use 1. 7 it averages out to 260cc's per 1000 strokes. is that right? And Shed putter when the master of injection pumps speeks, shut up and learn something.

Ha ha thats funny! you got me there big guy.

So whey you bringing you b/a truck over hear and showing us how its all done?

Im driving 1400 miles to May madness you going to make it? There should be some nice rides there (mines not one of them). It would be cool to see a 1000hp truck in person.

I have seen one dyno at 809 but thats it. So why don't you drive it over and lay down a nice little number and the let the truck do the talking? And how the heck do you get close to 4000 post on tdr? Are you unimployed and living at your moms house still?

Ok im done. Im shure you know more than me but why don't you teach the rest of us instead of just cutting everyone down? I don't think I have ever seen one positve post from you. Maby I just hang out in the bad parts of TDR. With as many PERSONAL slams you hand out on a daily basis Im surprised you can still post on TDR. Maby Steve just looks the other way when it comes to you. Untill then your on the ignore button buddy. But hay if you turn over a new leaf I will be the fist one to buy you a beer or what ever you drink.

Take care

Uh-oh. This blows the theory.

A certain VE flows 230cc, yet dynos 480rwhp??(American dyno, not metric. )

Are P-pumps really that ineffecient?

Careful now :) Some of us have been around here for a while and the post counts adds up.

Alright im sorry. Its just that every time someone has a good question that relates to learning a little more about Diesels My buddy jumps in and states that everyone one the West coast is full of crap. I mean come on if he new how the cc's were measured why did he not just help us newbees out? Somone had to tell him at one time why not just pass it on so the rest of us could learn? I don't know it all and I never will but I would like to pick up as much as I can while Im hear.

You know, it's alright, we get so used to Sleddy flapping his gums, if he wern't *****ing about something or somebody, we'd all figure his was sick.

Sides, if he actually posted something nice or inteligent..... we'd all go into shock :--)

Ron,

You just don't know all of us, thats all. Moremph, mfunderburgh and I were at a pull the weekend before... . but you wouldn't understand the jags even if I explained them to you.

I don't know it all, nor do I have the most power. But I have been to $crewl around the Diesel world for a few years now.

Pay closer attention to what I post, behind the humor, I can save you some money and time, if you are interested. ;)

And don't take the west vs east so seriously. Do a TDR search for Drugs, twins, west vs east, that old thread is alot of fun.

Lemme think now,

I'd sure trust a Canadian before I'd trust a Yankee :-laf .

At least a Canadian from the west side of, they're the rednecks of Canada :p .

Cousin Billy

Careful now Sleddy... . Louise has been working with U. S. immigrations..... seems they may let us come live and work down in that beautiful country of yours yet... . course it wouldn't be in the Pa. area..... tooooo much cold and snow & a lot of hot air... . near you anyway

I'm thinking more like the middle of the country... . Oregon that is Oo.

Go further east Piers

Hey Piers, go towards the midwest. Us hillbillies will keep the yankees with the funny accents :-laf away from ya'll.

Cousin Billy

Hey Piers,

"Kool aid" is a lot easier to ship within the US also. Just so UPS doesn't know what it is anyway  . Did ya ever get with Jason on that shipment of cetane booster?
