Sorry Comp, we have yet to be impressed with electronic whiz bangs.

There is only one reason they go to electronics= CHEAP. Cheap to build, expensive for us to buy.

They promise us the world, yet the fuel economy and durability keeps slipping.....

Absolute max power=P-Pump. (or a close relative. ;) )

Too bad you didn't understand yours.

have you seen the post about pdr's truck? I'm impressed, just give it more time for the cr. how much power did the p-pump make 4 years after they hit the market?

685hp is great, I totally agree.

But with REAL world sledpulling RPM's your only getting 3k fuel rpms.

That is where the P-pump blows away the dinky electronic pumps.

Watch one of the videos in my signature if you want to see what 1500hp+ from a P pump looks like.

thats today. what I am saying is that the cp3 pumps are just starting to be understood, and moddified. just give it time. the electronics have the ability to give more precise control of timing and fuel delivery.

That's true however until they get that figured out. P-Pump. P-Pump, P-Pump!

By the way you can convert it back later when they do get it figured out.

there are many people interested for various reasons. out and out performance cant be beat. the rpm is the only way to go for what some of us do with our trucks. then there is a few people that are sick of replacing cp3s and injectors after their warranty is up.

Comp how fast would that tin can you have go if it would only rev. 3200. hell the edge truck would beat you then.

With the advent of some of the new technology. a 1000 real hp in high rpm operation is now possible and will start showing up soon . I have been helping a good friend in his Duramax project. And its making around 700 hp @ 4700 rpms on diesel fuel only , and its running stock injectors and bottom end , and this in not a one shot chassis dyno, but a super flow 901 engine dyno and the test run the engine at this power level for 30 minutes. Look at the Industrial Injections almost 700 hp on diesel only with a single turbo, this is a great tell tail of the Turbo work Brady and Shane have been doing for years for a lot of other so called heavy hitters vendors , and now offer to the public.

The same stand alone computer that runs the Duramax is close to completion for a Cummins. With the big CP3. 4 pumps and other pumps availability now coming to the surface. The CR has the ability to dial in timing and fuel, for a extremely high hp diesel with little or no smoke, the ability to make hp at 6000 + rpms and not just grind metal will become a reality.

Comp, let us know when you see a non P-Pump truck pulling in some other class besides the street class and coming close to competing.

Easy on Mr. Richardson, I'm sure his comment was just friendly ribbing, I don't think that he meant for anyone to take offense. Honestly, we are all in the same club here. Bickering can be funny at times, but let's not be mean.
