1. Check your Hoses and Clamps
2. Check your Air Filter
How did I learn these simple lessons?
A few years after installing a new BD Diesel IRON HORN Turbo and "Mr Bob's Silicone Hoses" with Spring loaded Hose Clamps on my 05 Ram I would start getting that Code. Scanner and later Smarty could clear. But MANY shops could not diagnose or fix! 3 years ago the Local Dodge Dealer Tech said "Turbo bad don't drive!" - ya right....
Before I had to tow my Fifth Wheel again this past Spring (April 2024) I went to Banghart Diesel Performance in Wahoo IA and they immediately discerned that Hoses were loose and fixed them and nothing wrong with the Turbo (although not the upgrade they would have installed).
This Fall (Oct 2024) the Low Boost codes consistently returned on a long drive from western CO home to AL (no longer towing as I sold the RV after our summer job in CO).
Once home I found a few of the Hose Clamps could use a little tightening. AND I checked the new S&P Air Filter - it was filthy with Cottonwood Tree cotton from our stay over the Summer in CO where I had to clean the RV Air Conditioners twice of tremendous amounts of that cotton as we were parked under that kind of tree. Cleaned the Air Filter and now NO Low Boost Codes. Lessons Learned!
