Hey guys,

Does anybody happen to know what the max pressure is for the inlet on a P7100 pump? Just installed a FASS and my inlet pressure is at 45 psi. I know the mechanical lift pumps produce a considerable lower pressure so Im just wondering if the 45 psi might blowout some internal seals in the p7100 over time.

Thanks guys

45 is way above specs but shouldn't hurt anything. You do realize the pressure can be decreased with an adjustable OFV? I'm curious why you installed a FASS. 7 times as expensive as a manual pump and not near as reliable.
I was on the fence myself about getting a FASS but the better filtration won me over. I do have a Tork Tek adjustable OFV but it was designed for stock lift pump pressures. Even with the adjustment screw all the way out, I still see 45 psi. The porting in the OFV is just too small for the FASS flow. They make OFV specifically for a FASS system that has bigger orifice sizes in it to accommodate the increase flow.

I am thinking about going back to the mechanical lift pump but with an aftermarket dual filtration block with heater and feed the pump with some 5/8 stainless line from my Beans sump along with a smaller stainless line for the return. I don't like all the stock fuel line segments, just too many places for leaks and air to get in

Just my opinion, but you’re way overthinking this. I’ve run a factory lift pump and factory filter on mine now for over 550K miles, Gary has even longer. My IP is the original with 181 DV’s and governor springs. I’ve never replaced an injector due to wear or a failure. At one time I was at 450hp. The 2nd Gen 12-valves just doesn’t require extra filtration or a FASS system until you’re over 600hp.

Again, just my opinion.

I second this, the p7100 even works it's way through waste oil. That thing is almost bullet proof. Good old quality!
