Anybody have a good lube for the shaft on the pac-brake where it enters the elbow. ? Seems like every 6 months the thing is hanging up. uaually can take off the vacuum lines and loosen it up , if you know of a good lube what is it and where do you get it.

Truck is a 96 auto still stock. killer pin is dead. full gages

Pacbrake sells a lubricant specifically for the moving parts of your exhaust brake. If yours is a 1996 then it is operated by vacuum through a solenoid, this solenoid is usually mounted on the air intake horn. You may want to try cleaning the solenoid, they have the procedure on their web site to do this. Call Pacbrake to buy the lube or to get some help figuring out why it hangs up every 6 months. Pacbrake 800-663-0096 call them, their customer service people are very helpful and they can send you the lube.

We stock the lube..... its a special lube to handle the high temperatures... any grease including synthetic grease would go away under the temperatures at the exhaust side of the turbo... .

I think its 7. 95 a bottle... if you have the new nitrate coated casting... . and you use the brake all the time... you might not need it..... but with the painted casting its a must... .

BTW we use it on other brands of exhaust brakes as well... .

I don't have a clue about the freight costs... I'm guessing 3 to 4 dollars in the mail... the least expensive way... If you need this... we're at 800. 445. 4696 M-F 8-5 on the west coast...

Hope this helps...
