Ok, here goes. I've been getting a Pfft sound coming from under? the truck. Seems to be around 40 to 50 MPH. Doesn't matter if I'm slowing down or speeding up. Almost sounds like a quick air blast. I can't make it happen. Any ideas where to look?

It's a 2007, 5. 9, with 80k miles, stock, except gauges.

Found it guys. The aluminum baffle protecting the fuel tank broke loose at the front end. It was being buffeted by the wind and touching the spinning drive shaft. Therefore Pfft!! Go figure. But it's gone now. What is the purpose of the baffle? Is it to protect the tank from stones or heat, or both?

It could be for protection of the tank in the event of a side-impact collision. Virtaully nothing is going to protect from an errant spinning driveshaft.
