Photos of Hadley air horn install

Hi Everyone ! I recentally bought my dream truck(2002 Dodge Ram 2500,4x4, 6 speed HO) and it sure pulls my 30' fifth wheel here in Colorado without breaking a sweat ! I was hoping to have someone send me a few photos of their Hadley horn/air tank/aircompressor setup that is installed behind the front fender. I removed it all from the 93 Ford gasser that I had and miss it on my new truck. I know that several TDR members have mounted them in this area but I'm not sure how to mount the double horns facing forward or even if that matters. Anyway, Thanks in advance for your help. Hope these help. I mounted my Airtank to the radiator utilizing an "L" Bracket and a flat bracket. This is located where the stock horn were. (Removed) I had to cut a little out of the Battery box to make it fit but looks sweet. Air Compressor is mounted on the opposite side of the Battery next to the airfilter.

I mounted my horns pointing to the side behind the bumper (like Bigsaint) and put my tank behind the bumber on the passenger side. The air compressor is mounted to the front side of my battery box on the pass side. No pics but when I get to town I can take some.....

I ran into a guy at the local Harley dealer that installed a dual Hadley setup on his H-D bagger!

The horns were mounted in the usual location facing forward and he hid the compressor in the left saddle bag.



DANG,... . talk about getting your attention, I bet that'll get Mr. or MS. Yuppie off the cellphone! :--)

Still my absolute favorite non HP BOMB. Caught the wife today attempting a 3 point turn in a intersection of a back road, quitely ( LOL) creeped up on her and then gave her a good 5 second blast , while feet away. She just did this and moved on, guess she getting 'acustomed' .

Hey Bigsaint, I think I found me some fire truck horns... . and I can't wait. My GF's son makes me honk the horns at his soccer games when his team scores... you should see all the I get... .

I am trying to find a good location to mount my Hadley Bully's. I want to mount them behind the bumper on the radiator support. How do the horns get mounted so that the air line can still be connected? The radiator support is boxed in with only a few larger holes in it.



I think that I may mount the tank on one of the bumper support braces behind eith the driver's or pass tire.



Any help would be appreciated.

STG... i mounted mine on a bracket to the radiator cross... .



tank is on the pss. side frame rail.....

stg2500, if you close at this pic, https://www.turbodieselregister.com/user_gallery/displayimage.php?&photoid=975&width=0 you will see that the bracket I fab'd mounts to the rear of the Grovers, the inlet for the line is wide open for the fitting/line. I used the cross brace to mount my solenoid valve, which I encased in sched. 40 PVC. I added a quick disconnect fitting so that I can reach under remove the hose from the solenoid, should I need air for another purpose.

It looks like it would be easier to mount the horns to the bottom of the radiator support, as Bigsaint did. I was originally thinking that they should be mounted to the front of the support behind the bumper for more protection. I would be concerned about hitting the horns when they are mounted at the bottom of the support. Some of the construction sites that I am on are pretty rough.
