Thanks Thomas,
I guess I just didn't check close enough. I'll just have to order me a couple of those PIAA bulbs.
I have the same question as someone posted. I have the bright box and wonder if the new bulbs will cause a problem? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks, Terry #ad

I'm very surprised at the number of replys that thought the PIAA Platinums were better than stock. Last week I purchased a pair and put ONE in my '98 Ram. I compared the new PIAA with the factory light inside the garage, on the street and in the back country on very dark roads. I sure couldn't say it was any better in fact I thought low beam was worse than the factory one. At $100. Canadian it was an easy choice to return the bulbs for a refund. I'd like to have some real lights that you can see the difference.

Lil' Dog, I got them at Cochrane Dodge. I noticed they really are brighter on my truck then the factory bulbs and will add to your visibility. I notice I have less fatigue when driving all night but reading Brian's thread above, he wasn't happy with his... hmmmm I have heard that from a few folks but I did the same kind of test and I could see a huge difference... makes ya wonder. A few of my friends have commented while in my truck now that the road is lit up better and it appears whiter and even asked if I had the hi-beams on.

Also, the bulbs in the Sports with two bulbs per side are not 9004's... I'll get the number tomorrow. The dealer mentioned to me that they are not 9004's but I didn't think to ask for the number... BAD Scott Bad!

Scott,

The owner's manual for model year 2000 shows 9004's in the sport high beam lamps and 9007's in the low beam lamps.

Thomas

The last time I checked the 9007 weren't out yoet in the PIAA's. That is the same bulb used in the durango.

Wade, I'm not real sure but. . I was told by a co-worker who owns a Durango that PIAA just released the Platinum Super White bulbs for his application. Those of you that require the 9007s may want to double check this.

I have had my PIAA Super Whites installed for a year now. They are not much brighter than OE, just EXCEPTIONALLY whiter! I love 'em!

I have been using the Britebox with normal lamps. It works well. I tried with some extra brite lamps I got at checker at one of them exploded in a short period of time ,
making a bad mess.
I think Brite-Box tells you not to use anything hi-powered in them.

Rich, They are probably over-wattage and "for off road use only". "Blue" light bulbs are generally not D. O. T approved [Illegal] #ad
