Kevin,

Glad you got to see some REAL mountains!!  As a native of Colorado I have to say, that area is pretty high on the list for the best, most scenic for the state. It still blows my mind to think that all those ghost towns and mines once had a lot of people in them, all year around and living in those cabins. :--)

Send a PM if your ever back out. We can get more CTD's on the back roads! :D :D

good taste

I'm glad to see my family is not the only people that drive forever to get a good view. there is nothing like taking your $30,000 trucks over those tiny little roads. I just love Engineer, Cinnamon, black Bear, all of them.

Hey, I made that trip a few years ago in my '89

4-runner. It sure was a beautiful trip. At that time there was some real rough places just before reaching the top comming out of that basin. We also drove the 'Black Bear Road' on that trip. I will NOT travel that road again. Great pictures.

Ron.

Mactruck, Looks like you had a good time. I must of been there at about the same time as you since I was touring the same trails in my Jeep in August or September of 2001. I usually don't go there as the trails are not the difficult, but the senery is incredible hence I would like to get out there again sometime. I did Black Bear, Ophir, Imogene and Engineer the week I was there.

Frankram, I do have some pictures of Bkack Break looking down on Tellride.

Kevin, the pictures were great. That whole arear of Colorado is just awsome. I go to SW Colorado a couple times a year. It's the only place I enjoy more than the Eastern Sierra's. It looks like you had a great trip.
