I have a 2002 2500 Long Bed truck

There is a square hole cut in it for a hitch that has been removed.

Iam looking for a piece of truck bed to patch the bed on my truck.

I understand that the bed will fit on a 1995 thru 2002, but I only need a section of a bed.

So hopefully there is a truck bed out there that has been hit and is not going to be repaired and I can buy a piece of the bed to repair mine.

Iam looking in scrap yards now and it is proving to be a little difficult to find what Iam looking for.

A section 18 inch by 18 inch would be perfect!!!!

Thank you

I can cut you a piece out of my totalled '95.

I don't know what it's worth to you, but it's going to take quite a bit of work. The beds full of stuff that will have to be removed and the tailgate won't open. Then drilling and cutting. I'll have to use a sawzall.

Tell me what you think it's worth and I'll let you know. I don't imagine shipping will be too bad.

I just repaired and 3rd gen bed a few weeks back that had the same square hole. I got a local wrecking yard to cut a section from a damaged for $20.

Got her done. It has a brace across one end. Sorry, didn't realize it till I had the other 3 sides cut. There are 3 spot welds holding the big side of the panel to the brace. It shouldn't be a big deal to get it loose.

In this first pic you can see that it's 19" to the cut, it's just in the middle of the brace. You can see the chalk line at 18" @ 1" below the cut.

It's over 20" wide. This pic shows it's 16 1/2" to the edge of the brace.

This one shows the bottom and where the brace is.
