Once upon a time......

Can you guys help me out / I am getting pillar mount gauges soon , what brand matches the stock gauges the closest , I want as close to stock look as possible. . EGT , transmission , BOOST... . Thanks :)

I think the Isspro EV's in my truck look pretty close to stock. I have also gotten comments about them coming stock in the truck-so they must match closely.

If you wanna have a look before you buy Peter I'm not that awful far away from you... ... when you say Central Alberta I'm assuming Red Deer or close to it-I'm between Drumheller and Hanna so only 1. 5 hours away from RD. I could probably work in to my busy schedule  to make a trip over to that part of the world if you wanna see what they look like!

JHansen... . Thanks for the offer friend , I just might take your offer when the time comes near ( in about a month ). I live in Wetaskiwin ... I am looking for gauges with the same orange/red dials like factory... thanks for all the input guys

Of all the gauges I have seen the DiProcals are the closest to factory look. Most people also think my SPA is factory, it looks right at home too.

Yeah Wetaskiwin isn't that far away from me..... probably 2 hours or so. I'll probably find an excuse to go to Edmonton and spend some money :D so it'll work out OK all the way around! ;) ... . Last time I was in your town I spent way too much time walking around town at various times in the morning with a belly full because I was too impatient to wait for a cab. Least I was smart enough not to drive! Good thing it's not that big a place either... .....

The EV's are pretty much a dead match printing and lighting wise---but the pointers are white instead of orange. There was an e-mail campaign going on here to convince Isspro to make them with orange pointers-but nothing yet. I'm with the other guys that the DiPricols with their orange pointers may fit in better-but for me the Isspros were a lot more accessible-and I couldn't find a website or product listing for the DiPricols anywhere to even let me know what was available :( ... .

Lemme know via PM or e-mail if you wanna have a look-see at them and I'll work in a road trip up to your part of the world.

Got my Dipricols through Ken Jones at Diesel Dynamics (in Ogden Utah). Only problem so far was the boost gauge wouldn't go to zero, only went down to three. I replaced it a few weeks ago.

How about AutoMeter?

I just bought AutoMeter Z-Series and I think they will look very close,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, But I haven't put them in yet,,,,,,,,,, got to paint the pillar-mount

JHansen... . Did you mount the gauges yourself or did a dealership do it for you , I have it from reliable sources that Ponoka dodge does a great job / I am going to cowtown soon ( 2 weeks approx ) maybe i'll swing by for a quick look... . Where are you . . ???

Dennis those autometers look good. . once again guys thanks for the input :) :) :) :) :) :)

I put 'em in myself Peter-they're really not that big of a deal. Probably the biggest PITA was the fuel pressure gauge as it's mechanical. Still not that bad-a set of Ray T's banjo bolts, braided line kit and I was away. Course you don't have to worry about that :) .

I'm east of Drumheller so it'd be a little swing out of your way. If it lines up with my next set of days off I have to be in the city for sure on the Saturday (what is that-the 2nd of March?) for PAAL's dyno day as a favor to Rod from Wildcat Diesel..... and possibly again during the week as I'm in the market for a spool gun for my MIG. I could meet up with you in there then if it works-we could maybe even hook up with Scott and have our minds totally corrupted by things he's got up his sleeve :D . If not like I say I could make a run up to Wetaskiwin on one of my days-off... ... .

When you mention city do you mean Edmonton or Calgary, saturday would work for me just email me to confirm where... titanis@telusplanet.net... . Peter

Naw man no joke-wish it was... ... Rod and I have been buds for a while now-he can't make it so he asked me to stand in for him. Maybe you should come down so I've got some moral support! We could run the Red-and-White Rocket on the dyno and you could become the 1st 1st-gen to top over 500 hp! :D LMAO here now... ... .

Seriously though I am gonna be there-for a while anyways. Sounds like they wanted the Silver Cloud as a dyno-thrash truck to show the hp difference between a COMP and a Pulse-but as it stands now I still don't have my COMP on-and I'm pretty sure the stock clutch wouldn't hold it anyways (no the SBC still ain't in-long story involving various prior commitments and the consumption of too many alcoholic beverages :) ). So I'll just be an interested observer and there to answer technical questions-now won't that be the fox leading the hens around?
