Hey, just curious if anyone has purchased the plastic large head rivets anywhere besides the DC dealer? You know the rivets that hold the fender liners in place and the one on the end of the lower air dam. I was able to reuse the ones on the fender liners after installing the hitch but they are very loose now and DC wants alot of $ for theirs. Thanks, see ya swampin.

I got mine from an automotive paint supplier that was recommeded by a local body shop. (The body shop had run out) They also had the special rivet gun that I decided not to buy. I put them in with a couple pair of pliers, one to hold the other to pull.

plastic rivets

I just had to replace one of my front fenderwell liners because the rivets pulled thru:mad: . I went to fastener place and got some aluminum push rivets and fender washers. I spent about the same for ALL the rivets as I would have for ONE OEM rivet:--)

My rear liners fell out around 50,000 miles, I used #10/24 screws with fender washers and nylon locknut's and a shot of flat black paint on the heads to hide them. Much more secure and removable if need be. The fronts have some blind holes so nuts wont work.

My rears are held on like Jared's. Painted the heads silver like my rockers and my inner fenders are tighter than new. I would consider this over the plastic rivets. I bought the ones for my interior at an auto body shop. I paid the same for a box of 30 that I would have for two from the dealer.

silly plastic clips

when i had both fender liners out to put in air bags i used black tie wraps thru the original hole and drilled a 3/16 in hole next to the original hole in plastic and it only cost 6dollars for a bag of 100
