Bunyan, I have almost the exact setup as you, but I have not been able to tow with it yet. From what I researched, the Edge EZ and Mach 1. 6 injectors should be a reliable combo, anything more and we'll be lacking in the turbo department.

Ditto, since it appears you have the ETC or SO, you can get away with a little extra timing with less peak cyl pressures for towing and slightly less rattling noise.

That said, Mach 1. 6s and a good used EZ or TTPM (on a mild setting) would make for a great combination of towing rig & daily driver, IMO also. My DD3s (100 hp honed types) and VA timing box (similar to the EZ) were just a little too hot on the egts while towing heavy with the stock HX35/12 turbo.

Ive been wanting to try Mach 2s with my TTPM and get rid of the tap-wire fueling box as a test, but will still have egt issues while pulling Im sure.

I love my jammer 3's and SMARTY on SW3 for towing. I do get a tad more rattle but nothing serious. The only complaint I have is low boost smoke, you have to be careful when taking off not to puff black. It can be easily done.

any way you do it under 350hp at the wheels is pretty good(stock is about 200HP). I prefer under 100hp injectors and an adjustable box. almost every option is good in that HP range.

For the money the 275's are fine, but. I have ran DDII's, 275's and currently the 1. 6 injectors. For the extra money I say go with the Mach 1. 6 for performance and mileage. I don't tow often but have towed heavy and with my setup can keep exg temps in check.

I have 1. 6's, and an Edge Comp - plus the other stuff in my sig - tow a 24 foot Kit 5er with a GCW of about 14K loaded for travel - can top any west coast mountain at 100 MPH with RV in tow, and EGT at 1100, max... :-laf:-laf

Gary, I thought you were an advocate of trailer hauling safety!

My bubble has popped... ... ... ... ... .

I had Jammer 2 and a EZ, loved them in the hills and playing.

But trying to save on some fuel, I put RV275 and put the EZ on High.

Towing on the flats been OK and haven't really checked mileage yet.

Have noticed a slight increase in EGT's I think, I read that somewhere

about that . Definatley tell the difference between the two.

Hmmm thats strange, because the 275's are the coolest running inj's Ive seen in my rig so far. (besides stock probably), but think I had DD1's & a VA before getting gauges. (Rookie mistake #1).

I almost always have noticed a significant drop in EGT's when advancing the timing (VA, EZ, TTPM, etc. )

I bought the truck with 275's and a smarty reflashed ecu - non adj. Get good mpg, only see 900 degrees pre turbo, but I only pull 7k trailer. my setup can dump some smoke, I can break the tires loose going uphill when wet even with the loaded trailer toung weight. I wish I had a box that I could back out some of the ponys.

Thats great info guys, I hope you're right , just hope my mileage

comes up some, like 14 mpg pulling 8K on the flat.

SSolderitch I'd like to try an adjustable Smarty and 1. 6's

Thats the ticket!!! Maybe next year :-laf NOT

I have 90 HP DDP injectors with a smarty, i was pulling my 18 foot trailer on level 2 or 3 (can't remember) from Oregon to Georgia and i got around 12-13 mpg
