I installed a SuperChip tuner which caused sometimes, what felt like, fuel starvation on acceleration. You could push the peddle to the floor with no response. I then installed an ISS Pro fuel pressure guage and saw that I was only getting 3-4 psi at idle and almost zero at WOT. I then installed a FASS DRL lift pump and now have 30 psi at idle and 15 psi at WOT. With any SuperChip set up other than stock (performance, economy) I still get occasional lack of acceleration. Sometimes in cruise contol, the truck will try to add fuel going up hill and the peddle again, will go to the floor with no increase in power. Can anyone help??

First, Welcome to the TDR! Glad to have ya... .

It would help a lot if we knew your truck specs. You can fill out your signature line in the User Control Panel.

I`m guessing you have a 1999-2002 model truck with a VP44 pump. Sounds like you have a dead spot in your APPS controller, which tells the injection pump to ramp up or down. You can recalibrate the APPS, using this method (may want to verify, I`m going off of memory)

1- remove battery terminals for 10-20mins to zero out computer.
2- reattach batteries
3- turn ignition on, but do -not- start.
4- verrrry slowly push the accelerator from zero position to full WOT, which will recalibrate the APPS.

Depending on how many miles/age on the truck, you may need a new APPS assembly. .

good luck

Red Ram 37 send me an E-Mail ( click on the line under Missouri Mule) I have a more involved method of reseting the Apps for 2nd generations with vp44 pump.

The VP44 can cause dead peddle also.

Thanks!!! I'll give it a shot and letyou know how it turns out. Super Chip folk tell me to take it to the Dodge dealer for DCM updates. We'll see!

I tried this but didn't help. I verified the procedure in my shop manual. Good memory on your part! Thanks. Still haven't taken it to Dodge for the PCM update as FASS suggests. Next week...
