Hey, I do too! My friends and I all come from different areas of the country, and we've been having a debate about what to call pop for years now.

Guess you did come from WY - they don't call it pop in Virginny. You must get alot of funny looks asking for a pop.



Born and raised in NE and having spent alot of time in MD, I call it soda pop. Works everywhere. :cool:
 
At this point, I get my pop from a machine or a grocery store - but it is indeed a word not heard in VA except to refer to somebody's father, or a noise.
 
This is a great topic. I grew up here in CA. We call everything a "coke. " When I moved to Washington, everything was "pop. " I had a friend from Louisiana. He called everything "Dr. Pepper. " I don't know whether that was just him or the entire state.





edit: After looking at the map, apparently I'm a rare breed here in CA.

Looking at the map, my first thought was I'm glad I don't live in Oklahoma. Can you say "your tax $'s at work. " :D
