2000 Cummins 4x4 Auto transmission

My truck is having two issues.

1. When I get on it a little bit, not full throttle, but just give it a little more to umph, the truck kind of stutters. For example, when I'm getting on the highway, and I hit 3rd and the truck takes off, the truck feels like its spinning out. It shakes softly for a couple of seconds. I usually let off the throttle when this happens. When I hit 3rd the Scanguage shows Horse Power going from like 75hp to 160-180 really quickly and thats when I feel the slight shake.

2. Whenever I am going through a sharp turn where I have to completely cut the wheel (like a culdesac) the transmission feels like it sort of shifts out of gear into neutral for a sec, then kicks back into drive. Anyone ever heard of this?

I know my TQ converter and transmission are both beefed up, but I am worried that this might be a transmission problem...

Thanks

Jeff

Check your fluid. Do it warm and the truck in Neutral, it won't read right if it is in park.
Mine did the same when the cooler line had a pin hole on the return, it only leaked when the truck was moving.

Make sure you use ATF+4 not Dextron 4,not the same. Some don't know this.

ATF+4 is MoPar specific, with friction modifiers

Always check any MoPar in "N" as the pump don't circulate fluid in Park

If fluid level is good better change fluid and service, before you burn it up.
