It is threads like this one that makes me visit this site less and less. I understand that people have strong opinions. But that doesn't make it any more correct in my mind... to say that all 2nd gens are Pre is wrong, use the search. This person asked a question regarding the install, if you don't have any input regarding his question then don't answer with your opinion that he is wrong... I am not usually the voice of reason, usually a hot head myself. But this is ridiculous!

Soon there will be just the members on this board that agree because they have beat up everyone to the point to be afraid to ask a question or have an opinion because they, like me, must be stupid.

I second this. My membership of several years is up and I'm wondering if it is really worth resubscribing. I'll probably re-up as it hasn't deteriorated beyond all hope yet. Be nice if people started helping one another again instead of trying to prove how right their opinions are.

testraub: I like you have a stock truck and will go post turbo when it is time. For me that will involve purchasing an exhaust brake and using the provided features of the brake housing to mount my (post turbo) egt probe. Since I just purchaed a new 5th wheel trailer this has taken on more urgency than before.

Nobody has personally attacked "testraub" for his decision to put his probe anywhere he wants. This board has always been an exchange of ideas. When that happens, people will have strong opinions. You get some that will say that you don't need to do anything, and some that will say that you should try to be informed as to exactly what is happening inside your Cummins.

If the topic upsets you... unsubscribe from the thread. "Testraub" has gotten what he wanted... Many have told him exactly how to install the probe post turbo. When he is done he will have a fine "turbo temperature / diesel shutdown gauge... ;)

The topic doesn't upset me... People telling people that "My opinion is correct and everyone else is wrong or stupid or wasting money" is what this board seems to be about now...

I also plan on puting a probe post turbo. So any intallation pictures will be usefull. I currently have my probe pre turbo, but plan on moving it if I install an edge attitude.

Okay read the posts and have decided to install my Pyro POST Turbo (Yes I expect flak for that) I'm looking for info as to others who have installed there. Pictures, tools needed, etc.

Thanks!

And PRE TURBO guys... ... Please... . I decided. I ain't planning to go much over stock on the engine. It works fine just the way it is... . :D

In fairness to the original post, we should respect his wishes. If somone else wants to start a new pre-post thread, go for it.
