I've been thinking about having an aftermarket power moonroof installed on my 2004 when it comes in a few weeks. I did a search, but only found one other member that installed one on his 2nd Gen. Ram. Has anyone tackled this type of project on a 3rd Gen. Ram? I was looking at the Holandia Model 749, but if anyone else knows of other brands, please tell.

Thanks

Ryan

My only opinion is if you have the side curtain air bags, there is a warning not to cut, drill, or install a moon roof (spelled out in the manual) on the roof. If you are not getting them the warning is mote.

I saw one in an 03, it looked great but I think the guy said it was about 2k installed. Wouldnt work for me as I'm a bit folickly challenged and have to worry about sunburning the top of my head. :(

I know Ziebart installs sunroofs, so do many stereo shops. Ziebarts sells a variety of sizes and styles, with long warranties. I've known a few folks with them for years with no trouble. As for the folickly challenged, they all have a sunscreen that you can close for shade or open to look out of the glass... ;) I've been thinking this too. I was annoyed there was no sunroof option.

Ryan,

You could give 5-R trucks in Golden CO a call. They have a beautiful 03 3500 truck (they do about 2 or 3 trucks a year to show then sell) with the Hollandia 49 model, it's listed as a $1,395 option. They might be able to give you some feedback about the installation. Their number is 303-278-1830. Hope this helps.
