Here is a problem I have not seen on this site. The pressure line from the pump to the brake booster and the line to the steering box both have tiny little holes that fluid is oozing from. I thought I'd get back on the road and go thru 450k tomorrow, but guess not. Anyone else ever seen this?

Werid.

The lines are pretty cheap from the dealer. I replaced the one that goes to box from the pump and it was $13

that is the non-pressure line. The two pressure lines are $170 including tax.

I tried two hyd shops and neither one could make me new ones so had to pay :{

just experienced that last week on a customers truck, I turned the pressure up on his p/s pump to help with bigger tires, and no power steering, he came back a week later with a hose that looked like a friggin water fountain. replaced the hose and sent him on his way. opened up the hose and found it cracked up in the inner part of the hose, the extra pressure must have worked its way past the cracks to the outer part.

leaks

Mine leaked to.

I got replacements from NAPA.

Much cheaper than the dealer.

Don't lose the stock washers / o-rings you will need them.

I turned the power up on my pump too! :D

Works great!

It also caused my Hydro-booster to start leaking.

But hey after 250 k miles I'm sure it was due.

I have heard that a guy back east can upgrade our boosters.

However he needs the original booter to remove brackets and other parts.

I was able to get e rebuilt unit from a local Auto parts shop.

(I did not have time to wait for my parts to be rebuilt. )

I did not return the core.

I'm saving it for the future.

If someone needs to "borrow" the core.

PM me.
