Broke down & bought one of these yesterday, been wanting one for some time. Gonna have a ball, low & slow. Got the Powrachute PC2000 with the E drive Rotax, 65hp.
Dont want to sound like I'm ruining your fun, but we have an ultralight airport not far from me. These things seem as though theyre crashing every few days. I'm sure the powered chutes are a bit safer.
Now having said that...
I've been wanting to get into this for a few years now. Well, I really want to get/build a kit plane.
I think these are a little safer than ultralites. When they quit they fall, if the engine quits in Dennis's rig, it becomes a parachute. My uncle sold them for several years and never had anyone have an accident. SHould be great fun!
