My wife has lost BOTH of her parents. They passed away 6 days from each other. Her and her 5 brothers and sisters are having a tough time right now, and I thought is appropriate to ask for prayers to help the family through this tough time.
My father in law was diagnosed this past December 2005 with a brain tumor, and lung cancer (both lungs). We were told that radiation and chemotherapy would help him. He was a World War II veteran. He was in the battle of the bulge as a tank operator. Ed passed away Early Monday morning on February 27, 2006.
My Mother in law was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer 26 months ago. She went through radiation and chemotherapy which killed the cancer. However, because of the severity of the cancer, the amount of therapy required messed up her internal organs. She was home for about a year and a half. But, never really herself. She was taken into the hospital for surgery this past November. She was in the hospital for three months, went to rehab for four weeks. Then she was on Hospice care until she passed away on Sunday at around 2:30 pm. Vera was one of those people you felt priveleged to know. She was a wonderful woman.
My wife is taking the loss of her mother especially hard, she was her caregiver and her friend.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my in-laws, and their story.
Regards,
George
