I got two problems w/ the vent/AC.

Problem #1. When the vent selector is turn off, I still get outside air thru the upper vents. However, if I select the lower (floor) vents it will change to that location. Is this a vacumn line problem?

Problem #2. The AC didn't work when my GF took the truck to SLC. A week or so before it was working fine. The AC clutch doesn't engage when AC is selected. Is this assoc. w/ Problem #1? Any help w/ where to start to trouble shoot these problems would be appreciated.

Don't have any help with your first problem but search the forums cause I've read alot of posts about that. Your AC sounds like it's low on freon. Go to your dryer, it's on the passenger side fire wall. There"s a low pressure cut off switch located on the top of it. Remove the connector from the switch and jumper it out. Clutch should engage. If it does just buy a recharge kit and add some. When adding to the low pressure side, have the same connector jumper'd out, cause the compressor needs to be running when charging system.
