The TiAL Blow-off works off of Vacuum. Once the shut off Valve closes looks like the motor would make vacuum for a short peroid to open tial blow off and save your turbo. I have TiAL products here also.
The question of in the horn or before the turbo?? I did mine ahead of the intake manifold. I built a simple butterfly vlave, and spring loaded to shout off. I felt the same, if a turbo let loose with oil, it may block some, and the thought of a turbo getting the intake air slammed shut seems a bit damaging. Either one works.
