On my '96 2500 the steering box seal started leaking. I've got a blacktop driveway and it never leaked a drop until I was driving it the other day and it started blowing all over the place. It empties the PS reservoir in about 30 minutes of driving now. It's not leaking from the pitman shaft, where I've seen them leak before, but rather at the steering shaft. There are two seals there, one oil seal with a spring and a dust seal. They were easy to remove, but I am having an awful time finding new seals. NAPA has tried two different seal kits, and neither was right. The local Dodge dealer has proven to be pretty useless in coming up with the right ones too.

Does anyone happen to know a source for those seals... and maybe even the part numbers?

Any help appreciated.

Joe
