I got ready to do the pump timing this weekend and noticed that Piers and Dodgeram's charts differ.

One says (for my cpl) that 5. 35MM is 15 degrees and the other says 5. 4MM is 15 degrees.

For those of you that tinker with this - does a . 05mm difference really make a difference??

My truck is a 96, stock fuel plate slid forward - from what I've read 15-15. 5 degrees is optimal.

Any thoughts as to the discrepancy?

Dan

Thanks KRS - I corrected my number.

Yeah, I've puzzled over it for a minute too, but with your posted optimal it doesn't really make much difference particularly when you consider how imprecise the barring is - you'll seldom get EXACTLY the same indicator reading two times in a row. Pick one. .
