purchased advaced air ride hitch today

will i finally broke down and spent some money today ($4100 worth) i ordered the advanced air ride 25k fiver hitch and the commercial duty air ride reciever hitch also the gooseneck adpter to fiver. i hope all will be good with this setup i have been looking at this and the easy rider now for 3 years i hope i made the right decission. any comments on this from anyone using this setup would be great.

I, personally, prefer to not do business with crooks - especially those who have been proven guilty of Patent Infringement repeatedly.

I'll second that emotion. I had looked at the advanced air hitch also, but when i found out they had copied the design of easy rider, I changed my mind. The easy rider hitch company is located in Wewoka, Okla near where my family is and I took a ride by there not to long ago. The folks there were very nice and took the time to show me all of the options that were available to me, including what I would have to have and even offered me a discount. The quality of the easy rider is very evident and for me the choice is very clear. I talked to the people at advanced air hitch when they called me back and I asked them about the copyright infringement. they said they had been to court and won the right to continue. I said that i refuse to do business with crooks. .

The folks in Wewoka go out of their way to be helpful - nice is a frequently-misused word that really does describe them - and provide products that work at least as well as advertised.



After 12K miles of towing our trailer at (if not above) its GVWR over roads that made plowed fields look smooth, the cushioning provided by this hitch has, IMO, more than paid for itself by preventing the need for frame repairs. [Some of those roads were in OK. :-laf )

I'm very happy that you are enjoying your new air hitch and in my previous post I did not want to destroy your thunder. Probally when it comes to new products that are similar in operation, it comes down to the ford or chevy siding that folks come down to. I have not made the purchase as of yet, but i"m watching the posts and making sure that is the route that I want to go. Part of the big decision for me is the close proximity of the dealer and the availability of service or replacement of the parts needed. I sure hope you enjoy the hitch as I'm sure that its a way better than a hard mounted hitch.

well guys i i have been researching these air ride hitches for more than three years. i knew all about the the fight between easy rider and advanced on patents. but in this country you are not guilty till proven so. and in this case advanced was proven inocent. i am from oklahoma also and i believe in buying oklahoma but when a company wants to sell me something at more than a $1000. 00 more than another company, and is the same quality and i do believe is a better product i am going to save the money and spend it some place else. anyway i just put 4k on the new hitch pulling my fiver and i was on some good roads and alot of bad ones including I40 in oklahoma my trailer is pushing the 16k mark with a pin load of 2400 pounds and the hitch handle great. no white knuckles. stress free the whole 4k that i traveled.

Some of you folks really get me. Now just who started the automated procedure on the automobile assembly line. Is there still just one company that uses it?



When I was in the trailer mfg business 25 years ago, I did some different things on mine nobody else did. Just for customer ease of operation. Other mfg co's started copying what I was doing. No patent thing, just copying. I was taught when somebody copies what you do that is the highest form of flattery, going. Accept it as that and move.



Man, you really hold a grudge. You gotta be an emotional mess. :{
