I saw a 3500 go through town the other day and saw he had purple marker lights on his fenders. Now I have to get me some. Of course not one parts store could get any and most even called their suppliers for me and couldn't get them.

Anyone have lights like these or could hook me up with some?

TIA

Brian

There isn't a big truck stop here

I was afraid i was going to have to wait until I went to my aunt and uncles to get some. I always go to Bosselmen's Truck stop in Salina and drule over all the cool things they have, along with there endless selection of lights.

Thanks,

Brian

I have the same purple marker lites on my dually. If you have a Pilot Truck Stop, they sell them. i don't remember the part # right now, but you will know them when you see them. They are a direct replacement. I even put them along the back--all 3 of them.

Max-Wedge, could you look at the lens and see if it has a mfgr's name. I've searched both Trucklite & Grote's web sites and neither list a purple lens. Thanks

These are a WONDERFUL safety item!!! Remember those "blue-dot" tail lights on our old hot rods? Remember how you could see that little bit of purple hue from a long ways behind? The purple light has a longer wave length than the red ones and carries farther! Years ago, while on my way home from work, it was 9:30 at night, pitch dark and raining like mad... . lots of spray on the expressway and visibility was nill... . everyone was down to 40mph in despiration. A roll-back was ahead of me by at least 1/4 mile ... up there in the dark soup... . and all I could see was his purple neon license plate frame! Man, that thing was a shining beacon... . I now have one on my Ram; for safety's sake.

Actually I hear that they are illegal in some states, but so far here in Ohio and West Virgina and Kentucky I have not been pulled over yet.

I replaced the yellow ones with the Purple on the sides, and I have all Purple on the Tailgate. At dusk it looks great against a black truck. Wife says that a big burley truck like that looks kind a "queer" with the purple lights, but hey its better thatn the possum clearance lights I see on those import cars running around town.

Hmmmm?

HMMMM??? Illegal but yet safer!

Glowing licence plate frames aren't legal in our town because they draw "attention" to the viehical. DUMB COPS

MAX: Thanks for the numbers. I'll be ordering some for all 7 light sockets... but you wouldn't happen to have a phone # would you?

BCFAST: I'll use you example IF I get pulled over!:D :D
