Putting in a new OE replacement air filter

My question is... I'm putting in an AFE OE Replacement Super Stock IRF with Pro-Dry S filter. Do I have to do anything like disconnect the negative leads to the batteries to reset the ecm?

dont see why. your not swaping anything like a sensor or something. just pop the tabs on the filter top and replace.

No is correct. Just swap them out and hit the road and enjoy your engine enjoying more air.

THANKS GUYS! The only reason that I asked is because. When I put a K&N filter into my '96 1500 Ram the CHECK ENGINE light came on and people said it was because of the increased airflow from the new filter. The only/easiest way to get rid of it and "reprogram" the computer was to disconnect the negative lead on the battery.
