Pyrometer Probe

I'm installing my Isspro EV pyro. before the turbo and the directions do not say anything about how far into the exhaust stream to put the probe. I've talked to different people and have got numbers from 1/4'' to 1" what do you all do?

You want the tip to be about halfway into the stream. I put a screwdriver in and measure the depth and divide it in half, then tap the probe down with a soft hammer lightly until I reach that depth from the tip to the ferrule.

i put mine into the exhaust about 1/2"--1", and the Isspros seem to be working OK.
