So stacking this with the TST/VA. C3. 2 may not be the best idea...

Right?

And how does this install??

I called and got the answer to my own question... .

But the guy at QUADZILLA said it installs to the data link, map sensor, and the fuel rail sensor... --- No injector harness...

I wonder how they are getting the duration to lengthen???

ANYONE?

ditto to everyones comments ...

absolutely love it ...

15 minute install (timed it)

but just wrapped the adjustment nob around steering column ...

we got the racing version, much to the trannys dismay

AMAZING how smooth this box is ...

kids love the green - yellow - red ... . my 5 year old diesel nut "c'mon dad set it on red"

good boy

Just so there is not any confusion, I want to clarify that we DO NOT stretch the pulse like the TST or really even as hard as the juice. The desing behind this was to make good usable power for a mostly stock truck. This does not mean it does not run like crazy, but it does not produce smoke or bottom end torque like the TST. Torque numbers on a stock truck have been around 730 ish on a 325/600 engine. That is almost a 250 ft lbs increase, but it is not violent at all. We are using something we call "On Demand" technology that helps keep everything smooth. There will be more info on the web soon.

I could tell you exactly how we stretch it, but that is proprietary. We use just enough fuel stretch to give good bottom end and so that is compensates for not using high rail pressure. Duration is the easiest way to alter the fueling curve in general. One of the main concerns was egt's and we keep them very cool considering the power. I think most people will only see about 150-200 degree increase in the worst conditions on a stock truck.

Hope that helps, and I will try and answer the questions when I get a chance to come on here.

OK, I get it now... So stacking with the TST still may be possible, BUT would cause some serious timing advance, IMO

Quad - thansk for jumping in and clearing that up...

AND P. S. - Gotta love that price on the 65hp module :D

Yeah, read the first post. I'm looking for something to change the settings. This looked promising.

Maybe I'm missing what you're asking - but in my original post I say that it's 4 way adjustable, and list the power levels. I'm not sure what you mean if you want to 'change the settings' past that.

I like the xzillaraider because the install is simple, it works really well, and doesn't require a fancy digital controller/display. To me I like my current gauges just fine, and the clean look of the srt-10 pillar. I don't want to junk it up the attitude monitor, which has tons of fluff features you don't need. I want the least invasive install and to be able to monitor egt's and boost - that's it. Some may like the glitter and toys of the attitude, and that's great. I just like the smooth power and lots of it with the xzillaraider.

Wolfman00HD - I think the power of the standard box will be similar to that of a bullydog downloader - aside from a few more ponies on the extreme setting for the bddl. However with the bddl you do not have in cab on the fly adjustability liek you do with the quad box. I like to be able to start and warm the truck up on the stock settings before turning up the power. Also the bddl reflashes your ECM, which the dealer CAN see if they look for it with their DRB, should you attempt to bring the vehicle in for some non-related warranty repair.

So, any pics of the in-cab unit or the installation under the hood? The in-cab control isn't lime-green like Qzilla's other stuff, is it? :)

Yes, the BDDL order has been placed "on-hold" until I get more info on this thingamajig :)

Just ordered my race program today, said will be arriving at my hotel in LA (I'm impatient) in about 3 days. Not bad at all. Can't wait to replace that banks pos.

Hope the clutch holds out a little longer! :D

I can't say cuz I didn't get in on the beta deal but I will say the controller due out soon is suppose to have a more OE look to it.

The in cab control is nothing but an attractive silver knob with no writing on it or color. The module itself can be mounted anywhere behind the dash, underneath, etc. as long as it's in the cab. I just have mine zip tied up underneath in the wiring above the pedals near the trailer brake plug. It's a tiny module and weighs nothing - easy to just tie up out of the way. You really don't need to see it unless you like to see the led light blinking thru the different colors. The knob only has 4 positions, so it's really simple to tell which you're in.

So do we have a date when we can purchase these? I'm ready. I leave for a 2500 mile trip to Montana on April 9th..... be nice to have for that. The Juice is nothing more than a sticky stain in my distant memory now.....

It was mentioned earlier that there is not much smoke produced with the standard box, any idea with the race box?

I really really wish the monitor was out so I didn't have to pop for an egt also. :(

If you have a 6spd you can get some smoke out of them, but overall it is very efficient. I wished the monitor was out more than anyone, but it will be done right when it is released. It will be out this summer and it will be worth the wait.

I wished I had a simple solution for the egt gauge at this point, but I don't.

Race box + 40 hp injectors + Killer B2 = No smoke from an 03 SO

There is a small picture of the switch and the rest of the wiring harness and module in the instructions. The switch knob is polished aluminum with a knurled edge to it. It looks pretty decent.

We will have alternative module control methods very soon.

After looking at the directions, One things for sure... .

That bypass plug was ingenious - I HATE fully uninstalling my TST for just an update on the module part... (for those that want to get crazy with the upgrade to RACE)

Good work quad!
