I could have had it done in 15 min. if I didn't mount the switch. Overall, it took 1. 5 hours to do it right. But I have to re-install the switch once I get my new lower steering column :(

On my truck there's a rubber grommet to the left of the steering column when lookin at the firewall from the floor. It had a long skinny handle (I guess) that I cut out to make the wire harness, boost hose, and EGT wires to pass through.

Funny thing though, I went to the local Dodge dealer to get another one, and they can't come up with a part number.

Got that little white box from UPS today! Felt like it took forever to get here! Anyway, I installed the kit with minimal problems. I was able to push out the rubber grommet with no trouble. I think it is the pass through for the hood latch release handle. No problems there. I will however, probably silicone up the gap so I don't get a puddle on the floor board when the truck gets wet. I did however, have an issue with the Fuel rail pressure connector. The tabs on QZ's connector didn't match up with the Mopar sensor. The 3 blades matched up though, so I just removed the offending tabs with an Xacto knife. I haven't permanently mounted the switch yet. Tomorrow I am going to pull apart the Knee Blocker on a truck in the Lab and see where I can mount the switch. If I have to, I will fab a small Stainless brkt for it.

On to the performance. I have already been in my buddy's 2003 3/4 ton 305 HO truck with an outdated Western Diesel box. His is an RPM 2 box. That truck rock and rolls! It does leave a large black cloud, then a white one once the tires are roasting! On the 100 HP setting my truck feels real strong, but nowhere near as torquey as my buddy's. We haven't run them off yet, probably will sometime this weekend. I am real happy with the way mine runs now! Absolutely no turbo lag. Just smooth, instant power. Other than the Std QZ box, I have an AFE stock replacement filter. No other mods. Truck runs awesome for just spending 20 mins. installing a little box! I wish I could simply add 100 HP to my Camaro with so little Effort! :D

Truck out of the hole doesn't really light em' up that much. On the 100 Hp setting I did get it to spin the tires a little. Nothing on the 65 Hp. Truck runs smoothest on 65 HP setting. Runs pretty smooth on full Red, but doesn't like getting on the throttle then immediately backing off. Don't have a boost or EGT gauge yet.

Those will be coming shortly. For now, I don't pound on it too severely. Just have to take it easy. Not going to go hitching up 8500 #'s and matting the go pedal on full Red any time soon! Overall I am a real happy customer. We'll see if this box can keep up with the Western box. If it does, then my truck will run 15. 20's @ 91 MPH, just like the 3/4 ton did last summer and I'll be real happy with that! :D Oo.

Installed my box over the weekend and have been all :D since. Not much to say that hasn't already been said. Stock like curves, 1mpg increase, no codes, no surging, easy install. In cab adjustability is seamless, no sputters, stalls, funny noises.

30 is slightly noticeable, that will be my tow setting until I get gauges. I am towing on the flats this weekend so I'll post comments later.

60 is where I keep it most of the time. It keeps the smile on my face and is very manageable.

100 is a little nuts. On my 6-speed, it's hard to shift fast enough to keep up with it. Sometimes I just go 2-4-6, as the extra HP keeps the lag at a minimum. Yes, it will smoke the tires through third gear if you're not careful.

The top end is awesome now. Before, I would go down the highway at ~70 and hit the gas, wait for the turbo to spin up, RPM's to come up to the sweet range, etc. Now I hit the gas, and 1 second later I can feel the G's.

This is the first box I've owned, but I really can't imagine a better experience being possible. The $/HP/ :D ratio is excellent.

I still need to mount my switch, but it will have to wait until next weekend. Where are you guys mounting them? Post pics!

Hey how do you like the Cool blue hose. I am ordering up a bunch of xzillaraiders tommorrow contact me through my website if anybody is looking for one. ;)

I mounted the little box up under the knee panel on the right side towards the top. The reason being is I wanted to see what setting I was on. I turned the box so the clear side was facing the plastic around the steering column. Now I can see the light shine between the dash and steering column. The knob I just have pushed between the seats, I want an out of the way spot for the knob and have yet to think of a spot.

PS. The box is just plain fantastic :D :D

I put my box on a vertical piece of metal just to the left of the hood release lever. Cant see the light during daylight, but at night if I stick my hand down by it, I can see the color. I dont imagine I'll need to see it much to know what level I'm on - doubt if I'll ever be on anything but 3 or 4, 'cept maybe fpor towing over the mtns.

Like I said earlier, the lower center facia under the ash tray pops off easily, and I mounted the switch just below and to the right of the aux power plug. Its out of the way, not real easy to see, and I can reach it fairly easily when I need to.

Xiliraider Race & VA CP3 L2 stacked
That sounds like a good combo. I see you have a B1-04 yet to install which should be sweet.

When are you going to get around to that? I would be interested to see if the B1-04 will keep EGT's cool enough.

Tell me something. . does your L2 dial itself back as RPM's go up?

I have the L1 and it does real well when the trans is locked and R's are 1500 - 1900, from there on up as the R's climb it slowly dials back.

Great for towing but a little let down when you mash the go pedal to pass and the trans down shifts. I can almost go faster if I let off because the up shift feels like warp drive.

I've noticed one thing with having this box...

When driving around in the off setting, it seems like there's something wrong with my truck!?!?

It's so completely sluggish, and the exhaust note doesn't sound right. I wish these trucks came tuned to run from the factory. Even the 30 setting makes a huge difference. Most noticeable in part-throttle around the town driving. The truck is much happier and willing. No need to plant your foot to get around someone.

I had no idea how much my truck needed an upgrade like this. I can't imagine what it would be like to have a TST...

I guess I'll find out sooner or later :D

JCleary - :-laf :-laf

It's true though, you never know how sluggish they are till you put one of these things on. To be honest - the 30hp setting feels like that's how the truck SHOULD have come from the factory. It's just so much more responsive. I sent my std beta box in for a race production version though, so the lowest I've got its 60. I think once you put more miles on the box (i've got about 4k on it) you'l be on the 60hp all the time.

FYI people, just another reminder of how much our lift pumps stink - today I had it on 60hp and put it to the floor. I dropped from 7. 5 to 0psi in probably 1 second. While I know the cp3 can run with 0psi, I wonder how hard a 0-70run or something with extended 0psi would be on it. Now this will be the same with any box putting out that much power, just a testament to the dog-poo lift pumps we have! :-laf

Thats because the off position de-tunes it further to make the enhanced side "look good" :-laf :-laf Just kidding!

My truck is in the shop now getting the B1-04, ATS manifiold, 4" Pac-Brake and 4' downpipe put on now. My guy was pretty busy as he found out he was filling in for another guy on vacation so i'm not sure how long he'll have it. I'm hoping to be able to use all of both boxes with the new mod's.

Not so actaully. I can make a third more power with my TST and maintain better fuel pressure (stock LP) than I could with the Quad box. The Ramifier gives similar result to Quad's box with reguard to fuel pressure. This was one of the first things I noticed upon trying these other boxes. Makes me wonder if pressure boxes really are taxing the CP3 that much harder.

Sradke I should have noted in my first post that you quoted that I was going up a hill, which I'm sure will take a lot more fuel. I'm glad you like your tst box.

Can't yell loud enough how much I love this Mod!! :D What a difference over stock. I have the Std QZ Box right now, but I am willing to bet I will be upgrading to the Race version soon! I've done it now! There will be no turning back! Looking into the future I see a new turbo... ... ... :-laf

Any way, has anybody put a truck on a dyno with a QZ Std or Race box yet? How about any 1/4 mile times? Soon as Milan Dragway opens for the year, I will be making a few passes to gauge how well the improved tune up runs. Haven't had the chance to run down any Mustangs or Hemi Rams yet. I don't think, though, the 100 HP will keep up with a 300 C or a Magnum. Maybe the 140 will fair a little better! :-laf

100HP module made 98. 3 HP on a dynojet 248. otherwise stock except for AFE proguard 7 intake. definately, driveability is arguably the best I've seen in this power range.
