I recently bought a 2002 QC short bed. This is my first experience
with the Dodge quad cab body style. I've noticed in the last few days a noise coming from the quad door and/or regular door which sounds like the door is vibrating against the rubber molding. Both doors seem to close tightly and the wind noise is minimal. It definitely sounds like something flexing against the rubber molding though. I suppose it could be coming from the power window where it seats against the top of the door frame. It's weird but I sure don't remember hearing it when I test drove the vehicle.
I wanted to check with other TDR members who own quad cabs to see if this is common with this body style. I didn't have a good experience the last time I took a vehicle to the dealer to have squeeks, rattles and/or wind noise checked out. As a result I'm leary of doing it again. The noise is somewhat annoying because it's right by my left ear.
Your comments would be appreciated.
