Question on pyro reading in morning??

Gauge on my auot seems to work fine under full throttle(auto) it climbs to around 900 and didnt go past even for a short time. My question is in the morning. Last night it got down to approx 50 outside and my gauge was reading about 80 this morning. Is this normal or should it be at 0. I know there was a thread on this before but I could not find it. THANKS

Your guage should read appox. ambiant temps until the engine produces heat.

Most gauges,EGT included, are most accurate in the middle of their scale,you can't go by what they read at both ends.
