have a 01 daully and i hear a metal grinding noise only when i back up for about 3 seconds then goes away, also notice a squeking noise when having the brake aplied lightly at about 2mph. hear it (i think) on every evelotion of the disc. ( rear discs) please advise, dont really want to take it to the dealer and get raped

Your pretty much wasting your time asking for advice with such little input. Obviously there is a problem, and the first step is to remove the wheels and drums and look. Hopefully it will be there, if not it's in the housing itself (more money). If you are not equipped to do such repairs, find yourself a good shop that can. Hint... many people shoot them selves in the foot by trying to do things on the cheap, there is a big difference between estimates because most of the times there is a big difference between the job. Know one wants to get "Rapped" as you put it, but good works does not come Cheap.
