A few questions.

Is there a sticker or something that will tell me what the rear end ratio is on a 98 12valve truck?

Did some of the 98 trucks come with the Block 53?

Is the KDP a potential problem on the 98 trucks?

Thanks,

Al

My 95 (Dana 80) has a metal tag on one of the cover. The ratio is inscribed on it. If it has a L in the list, it is also limited slip.

KDP, yes it is a problem fix it. I did mine with the free kit available from folks on this web site. It took about three hours for the first one. The second will be much faster.

53 block? I'll save that for someone else.

Yes some of the '98s came with 53 blocks but apparently they haven't been as much problem as the 53s on 24 valves.

Open your hood then look straight up, there should be a tag that identifies your axle ratio.

KDP definitely should be taken care of ASAP.
