Here's what happens when a 2002 Toyota Corolla runs into a stopped 2002 3500 Dodge . Woman who hit me went to Hospital. I drove it to the body shop after pulling exhaust off inner tire. I feel pretty safe in that truck. Just wish I was driving it now :{ :{ .

I feel for you. How fast were these broads going? wonder they didn't end up in the seat with you. My poor truck has been hit 3 times in the last 10 months. first time while parked on lowes lot in Murry KY got front bumper, grill , both headlights, signals and hood (probably a pickup but they left so we don't know, second a 3/4 ton chev 4x4 hit me at a stop light, new bumper, trailer hitch, and tailgate, $5000. chiropractor bill. Third time girl backed out of drive into running boards and wasted the side of her toyota. Hammered out the runningboards. Still haven't gotten reimbursed from ins. ( Farmers) from the guy that hit me with the chev. pickup and don't want to deal with any more adjusters.

it doesn't take much to fold that p. o. s. bumper. i folded mine today. backed into my dad's ford expedition with my foot on the brake. can't even open the tailgate. didn't scratch his front bumper.

Fast

I was stopped at a traffic light and never saw her coming. I heard the hit and looked out the window and saw the Toyota airborne. I never said one word to her as she was being treated by a motorist who stopped. My main concern was that she would be alright. I heard from her insurance company that she will be okay. I figure she was doing 40-50 MPH, but not sure. It looks like she swerved at the last minute and only got the right side of bed.

Had the same problem with a thumper skate. you would think they could see these large trucks. Maybe the loud music blurred his vision.

Be sure to get a 4-wheel alignment done to your truck.



When I wrecked my truck I thought I could just replace the Dually Fender,, which I did,, but the truck drove crooked. ,, I had an alignment done twice, then finally a 4-wheel alignment, which showed the driver side axle to be bent back and angled up.



Before you settle on a price to fix your truck from the insurance,, see if that rear axle needs replaced. ,, your truck took a hard hit.

Hard to tell from your photo - any frame damage? And if so - does the insurance cover the lost value when the title, in some states, mentions frame damage?????

The insurance company should cover any lost value. When my truck was damaged by my travel trailer going on it's side, the overall value of the truck depreciated $132 and some change. Progressive cut me a check for that amount. He should get the same treatment if there is any devaluation. My truck had $5600 in damage, but it didn't take a direct impact from my trailer, like his truck took from the Toyota. The fender damage was no where near as bad as his is.

No - I think you're missing my point...

Where I live, if you have a car that's had Frame Damage - it's registered on the title - and the value goes WAY SOUTH at trade-in! I found out that when I bought a used car several years ago . I went to a dealer, LEXUS, and they had a really great deal on a car - one that would normally go for around $15,000 that they were selling for under $10,000! What a deal until I learned it had frame damage at one time, and had been "fixed!" While the insurance company covers to get the truck fixed, I don't think they make you whole, by covering your "lost value" at and when you trade-in. Not even sure how they would take care of that - but where I live if you have Frame Damage - it stays with you - even when you think it's over!

No Frame Damage

There is none that either I or the body guy can see. There is something off in the suspension as the bed is cocked to the right. Maybe a spring perch was hit. Adjuster left that open in case. They start to repair on Monday. Hope it isn't too long. I miss the sound and smells of it.

No frame damage but I was surprised how easy the hitch tore loose. That was 5 months ago and still fighting to get all of my money.

Good luck with the repairs. Hope they go much better than my repairs are going ( Deer damage). It really stinks being without the big Dodge. The rental car just doesn't cut it.

Hang in there and don't give up. I think enough people have given in to the insurance adjusters that they think if they stall enough you'll throw up your hands and give in. My truck was rearended 01/02/02 and I am still fighting with them. Now they have the nerve to discount what they are willing to pay me because they are fighting with me and not an attorney so since I don't have anyone I have to divy up with... ... well I shouldn't get as much.

I was stuck driving a Grand Caravan for three weeks till they fixed my truck. The Suburban was totaled and I had $7400 in damage to my truck. The frame was not damaged on mine. Will the value go down on my truck? It happened on 6/15/02 and since my truck was fixed and I was not hurt I settled with the Insurance. All I cared about was getting my truck fixed and have them pay for the rental. Should I worry about the Trade in value dropping because of this?

Damage Amount

The woman who hit me caused over $7000. 00 worth of damage to my truck. Thank god for insurance. State Farm is awesome. Adjuster saw truck on Thursday and I have the check in my hand on Saturday. I'll pay alittle more for service like that. Oo. Oo.

There was a guy on another Dodge forum that had a Honda something or another run a light and broadside him. It rolled his truck but he and his nine year old daughter walked away from the wreck. Three of the five in the Honda did not.



Man I feel for this guy. Even though it sounds like it wasn't his fault, the memory will always be with him. Be careful...
