There!! Now you can get at things far
easier!!

Don’t forget to inspect your fuel lines and the rear brake line especially where it runs behind the fuel tank..

Thanks, I will.
One, spring is totally off . Broke a carriage bolt for the air bags.

Looks like a war zone :D. It's always amazing how much crap you get out to do a job, then you get to put it all away.

All back together now.
Thanks for the help.
Bed doesn't match now but its almost rust free.
Biggest problem I think was trying to get the blue ox goose neck ball out of the hitch mount.

Excellent job! You are a go getter!
Thanks.
Had to go get it. I
Wife would be real upset if I couldn't pull the camper.
We have had to ,or had to many things canceled this year due to covid.
This will be the first time pulling this camper, and first time pulling with this truck.

Since it's your 1st time pulling with this truck don't forget to pay close attention to your fuel psi, egts, and trans temp (if auto, I forget) for a while till you're sure all is good. Enjoy.

Truck pulled great. Only problem was the battery gauge was showing 18+ volts for a while. I installed an adjustable voltage regulator a month ago. The volt gauge would drop to 8 sometimes, and I would have to rev it up to get it back charging. Its better, but not totally gone. This is the first time it has gone to overcharging. I need to add a volt meter I can trust, and see what its doing

I have heard the external regulators are finicky. Your PCM regualtor is gone for sure ?. Sensor under the drivers side battery is good along with the sometimes problematic battery cross over cable from pass. to drivers battery ?

Not sure the pcm regulator is gone for sure, but voltage was dropping out. Battery cables looked good but I will go over them again. Need to get the batteries load tested also. They are fairly new, probably less than a year, and I have had them go dead just from the truck sitting. All winter they were fine. Almost like something got left on draining the batteries

I put a battery tender on mine if it is going to sit for a length of time, mine have never gone dead because it's a habit I have used since the truck was new so I have no time frame of how long it can sit before the batteries go dead.

Possibly the intake heater relays. Each draws 100A: about 64A more than the alternator can supply. The voltage will drop a lot when they're on. One or both relays stuck 'on' on my truck back when it was new-ish and drained the bateries completely. I eventually replaced them with Stancor relays; haven't had a problem with them in the 17-odd years since.
