Nate said:Does anyone know if the spring packs are the same for the pickups? Mine is a 98... would springs from an 01 fit? I can get a set for $65.
Nate said:I went looking for spring packs... $65 a side, not too bad.
But, my truck is the 8800lb weight rating. What was the other weight rating?? I've been told my is bascially a "heavy 3/4 ton"
I want to make sure to get the heavier weight springs... . how can I tell?
BigPapa said:I was looking at mine tonight while I was under the truck. They are not stacked "neatly". A couple of the leafs are about 1/2" off on each end. Kind of like they twisted. Should I be concerned about this? I would think they should all be in line. Maybe I can knock them back into place with a hammer.

Nate said:I asked the Firestone guy about that, and he said the air springs would be too short if I did that, since they are designed for a truck with the overloads integrated in the spring pack.
Nate said:Ok. I'll try finding a 3500 to get the springs from.
I was looking today and I have a question. On the driver's side, the front spring hanger bolt, do I need to remove the gas tank to get that bolt out?
