At 22k I began to notice a noise with the window closed. It sounds like two cheap foam ice chests rubbing together, but much more quiet and muted. If I open and close the window the sound will be gone for a while, maybe an hour. Then it returns. Any ideas on a solution?

Not sure, but try a rubber lubricant, perhaps silicone? I use some on the door seals every year to help keep them happy.

I didn't want the slider but it came with the truck. I told myself to never open that thing. One day my daughter discovered the button.........

Without a slider where do you put the empty beer cans?
I was on a field trip to repair a aircraft in Idaho and the empty beer csns were on the dash, kind of messy

Oh those were the days......

Don't use any oil-based lubricant, as it will attract duty and dust, and make things WAY worse. Clean out the tracks with a vacuum and some soap and water and a brush, then spray some dry lube in the tracks. Done Liquid wrench dry Teflon lube comes to mind.

Don't you know that those Ram engineers did air flow testing just for this "BEER CAN" issue? They designed the air flow around the cab to suck the can out of you'r hand and place it it the bed right from the drivers or passengers window.... Just have to be doing over 45 mph. Will not work if the tail gate is open...
