I would like to know if I can have my stock injectors rebuilt and tuned or do I need to invest in a new set to get more horse power. If I'm dreaming about rebuilding my stock injectors, what are the very best injectors for approx. 100HP. Hope my wording doesn't start a war. THANKS

Why do you think they need rebuilt? My current RV275's have 400,000 miles on them and I still get 22 mpg unloaded.

If you simply want more horsepower order a new set from DDP.

Godspeed,
Trent

Bosch 275's are a good bang for the buck. Not 100hp but economical both to buy and fuel wise. Like Blacksheep says DDP's are popular. Most agree simple cleaning or rebuilding shouldn't be necessary unless you have a LOT of miles or the engine is running badly.

I'm running the Bosch 275s and I have the stock set as backup. Since I installed my new trans w/ Commander I think I have a bit of rough idle and just started thinking which can get me in alot of trouble. Anyway, thanks for the replies.

LLiddell, not to be a wise guy, but in my case I too "only was looking for 100 hp extra" and got some Mach 1. 6s, of course this was until I felt what that was like then . . . well see my sig. If I had to do it over, I'd go big first. I got lucky and was able to sell my initial 1. 6s to another member for a sweetheart deal for both of us (which included his stock injectors being sent to me for cores on the new 5s I went with) he was happy with their results and I was happy with the deal we made, but I could have been stuck with the 1. 6s and then have to pay all over again + more for the 5s.

Another consideration - when I got the 5's it was a sweetheart deal my Trans builder / HP parts guy put together for me that included: delivery, 4" down tube, turbo, sticks - he'd kill me if I told anyone the price, so it was a good deal but not cheap.
