Thanks for the new replies you guys. Today was a very tough day. My head hurts very bad, my neck is hard to move, and if i move it a certain way i get very light-headed. My back is very stiff and my lower back is just killing me. Something feels out of wack. I also keep having the spasms shoot threw my arms. As of right now the numbness has gone away in my arm. I am thinking about going to a chiropractor because my back just isnt right, i feel like i walk different. . Nothin heard about the truck today the guy who hit me didnt talk to his insurance guy yet... so im waiting for that... My guy said call them tomorrow and if he still hasnt talked to him then my insurance guy is going to jump all over him. I talked to the guy from the other guys insurance and he did a recorded statement on what happen, i didnt like that but i guess its normal procedure. Whatever i didnt feel was necessary to answer i said you can talk to my insurance man... Ive never been in a accident so i am very stressed out, and for some reason whenever i do something and go to do it i completely forget what i have to do  i dont know what thats all about :(

Mine... $8,500 damage and 6 weeks to repair.

I'll try and post a pic in my gallery.

Brian

Thank you for posting the pics. It looks like our damage is the same on the exterior, but how bad was your suspension and steering screwed up. According to the body shop they say mine doesnt look very good at all :(

Nick I would go see a doctor. If your symptoms and injuries end up being an issue and you decide to pursue compensation or legal action later on down the road you would have stronger footing if you have a paper trail with a physician instead of a chiropractor. A physician can refer you to the proper specialists to resolve any potential injuries. I think chiroprators have their place and may be good for later on when you have healed up from the initial injuries but still have spinal/neck issues. But for right now if you have torn cartilege, muscle or ligament damage, compressed or damaged disks or nerve damage of any sort I don't think a chiropractor will be able to treat it properly. Just something to think about. Sometimes injuries don't manifest themselves fully immediately after an accident.

Ditto on the Doctor. If you also go to a Chiropractor, go to a good one. Don't worry about paying for it, they will get paid when your accident case settles.

Nick -

Go to a doctor. You will probably get lots of x-rays. You got hit hard, and probably bounced your head off of the window or pillar.

XCUMMINSX,

No suspension or steering damage.

I hit him basically with the center of the bumper and tow hooks on the frame. 7,000# against ~4,500#, I win.

I did loose all cooling radiators in front.

The truck was still running after we hit (the radiator was just touching the fan a little making noise and peeing in the street).

I didn't think I hit him that hard, I didn't feel that much from inside.

When I got out, it was a different story.

I'll see if I have a pix of the other car.

Edit:

I did, check my gallery.

Ditto on going to see a GOOD Chiropractor. I waited 2 weeks after the bozo hit me before I couldn't stand it any longer. The Overstreched/strained muscles had swollen and pulled my neck out of whack and I was having severe headaches because it was pinching off my blood supply to my brain. It took a couples of weeks to get relief. There were not enough pills on the planet to take the headaches away till I got it straightened out. been 28 months and I still have a relapse about once a week.

sorry man!

nick -

UPDATE

Thanks for asking.

Word on truck

- insurance guy is going to go look at it tomorrow. Ive been to the body shop 2 times and he said the damage you see visually is the least damage:confused: he said everything underneath is just torn up. He said it looks like when i was hit the truck was lifted up and driven about 90 degrees then came down and i was holding the steering wheel so tight it broken the steering box and pretty much everything under the front end. the axle knuckle is bent. the frame is bend at most a 1/2" on the driver side (the part that bolts to the bumper). Its alot of damage, Not nearly totalled though. The guy laughed when i asked him if it might be totalled. The other guys insurance is trying to stall, stall, stall so im paying a 500 dollar deductable then the 2 insurances can fight each other. Anything else more in depth with insurances/lawyers i really dont wanna get into because you all know it is a long story

Word on Myself

- Its been 1 week since it happen.

The good -My cuts on my arms are gone. the numbness went away a few days ago.

-The bad - My neck and back are really killing me. Anything i do is not helping, the pain is actually getting worse. I am very very stiff, Im taking 500 mg of Naproxen 2x a day, and Cyclobenzapr @ 10mg 3x a day. Id say the Naproxen isnt strong enough because i am still dying but i am living with it, my parents wont let me take vicodin because its addicting. I do keep having pains shoot threw my back, arms, legs. Ive been told these pains are spasms. its very hard to move side to side (bend) and pretty much whenever i move my back cracks about 5 times  . The doctors said i had a pretty bad concusion and they said no work, no driving  , nothing for 2 weeks :{ . Ive tryed heat pads, hot showers, and those portable heat pads  I honestly think heat makes things worse becuase thats how it feels.

I figured between this and my ex-girlfriend something decided to really challenge me. I am beating it and i will pull threw it.

Thanks

Nick

XCX,

A guy sure can miss a lot in a week, when he's out of town. I just read your thread/posts. Too bad about your truck, but I'm glad your okay. It took me a good month to get over the spasms when I got T-BONED (guy was goin' 60 mph) 3 yrs. ago (not in the DODGE).

- On a side note/ A couple of days ago I saw an '03 white dually T-bone a little car. The dually pushed the car over on its side and had both front tires on top of the cars pass. doors. It was pretty sick lookin'.

Hope you're doin' better.

Nick,

You need to find a VERY GOOD chiropractor that associates himself with medical doctors. All insurance plans now pay for chiropractors (most anyway). What you are describing is pinched nerves from spinal misalignment.

Lived with that stuff for 50+years now. I was 31 before I knew what a chiropractor was or trusted one. I been a believer ever since.

Sending prayers for your body to heal. The girl and the truck can be replaced. (I'm on girl #4, guess that means I don't know nada about girls??)

Get your truck fixed & get on with life!

Anyone that has ( blown away a ricer ) or whatever - If that was not done at the track - then your a reckless driver!!!!!

To mutch oh my neck , my back - wheres my lawyer!!

I have done more damage than that by hitting a friggin deer.

No I did not sue the deer or his next of kin :)

John...

I married my #4, so there is no more. Maybe this will be the one for you!.

XCX... sorry about the truck and the girl. Both can be replaced. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you (thankfully). I am glad you were not hurt any worse. Someone mentioned a Chiropractor (sp?) in an earlier post. You might be surprised by the miracles they can work; find a good one and give him a fair shot. The pills are nothing but trouble waiting to happen and you are too young for that.

On the truck. I doubt they will total it, but you never know. If they don't, get it fixed by a reputable body shop correctly and accept nothing less. It will probably be fine, but if not, you can trade it for something else to some unsuspecting stea... I mean dealer. Then you can smile as he thinks he is getting the better end of the deal! Done it more than once!;)

Let him be... . Give him the chance to be youthful. In the scope of things thats happened to you or I, this is not that bad. To him, its the worst to date and it would be pretty bad for me.

Wishing you a speedy recovery from the truck accident. Wishing you an anguished recover from the girl so you'll learn a lot... :D In the end, the girl would have been more expensive than the truck... .

Sorry Bud!!!

Nick,

I am very sorry to hear of your bad luck the last couple of weeks. I sincerely hope all goes well for you. One thing I always say is that unless your dead, it can always be worse. I wish you the best and good luck!! On the subject of chiropractors, they can change your life if you find a good one!!!!!

X - sorry about the truck, it will get fixed. Just one word of advice, don't let the guy insurance settle with you about the medical stuff untill you feel better. Don't sign anything they give you with out talking to someone who knows exactly what it is you are signing. Insurance compaines are very very ruthless and will offer you some cash to sign papers that say "I feel fine" and then they don't have to pay another dime.

Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon.
