I have a 2015 1500 ecodiesel. We have put about 4500 miles on it in a month and a half. I have had several 5.9/6.7 cummins over the last few years so I am familiar with how the 6.7 regen process works. This truck has done at least 4 active regens since purchased. My wife left it running to run in to her work this morning and when she got back in the display said DPF 100% full see dealer. Truck will only go 40. I will be hauling to the dealer to get things corrected tomorrow. My questions are... Is it normal for these engines to regen this often? Are we not allowed to let them idle at all? Most of our mileage is highway but her drive to work is usually about 1 mile but once or twice a week she has a 60 mile commute.

It Active Regens often 1 every 200-300 miles its a dirty engine do to the poor tuning FCA incorporated to meet EPA standard's. Under the conditions you stated you will frequent that message, it needs 10-15 miles per drive when the system is in active Regen to complete.

Depending on when your truck was built you might want to have this flash done. TSB was issued on August 25, 2015.
